Here is my 2 penneth:

I agree with the Everton selection, feel like the Brom might struggle for a bit. Clarkey will have them well organised but the blues can attack knowing there is not much threat coming the other way, Lukaku a big miss.

Fulham v Arsenal. Here I feel Fulham could give the gunners a lot of problems, cant see them losing this match, first home game and all that, lay the Arse!

Southampton v Sunderland.

This could be a big home win, Sunderland could well struggle. The Saints took some big scalps out at St Marys, look like they have bought well. Saints to cover the h'cap with ease.

Man Utd vs Chelsea @ 3.95

Still scoreless at the first half. I think United are getting more of the possessions but there are no quality chances so far. Oscar had some chances, too; the ball just won't get past De Gea. The game's a little boring, IMO. We'll see what kind of action this second half brings.

Arrrgggghhh. A draw is imminent. Torres give me a super strike!

Man Utd v Chelsea was a more hype than real action. No pretty decent chances the whole time. Wayne was looking great, though. (I bet he'll be the talk of the town tomorrow).

Lost this match but won with my Real Madrid bet. Onto the next weekend matches!

Bayern Munchen v Chelsea, just one hour til kickoff time.

No bet for tonight as I'm reserving my stake on parlay tomorrow.

- This is an interesting match, considering the old rivalry between the managers in their time in Madrid and Barca, though Jose obviously doesn't like bringing it up.

-Chelsea lost 4-1 to Atl Madrid last year while Bayern have yet to win the super cup title.

- Chelsea's new signings Willian and Eto'o won't feature yet, and defender David Luiz is injured; on Bayern's side, there are also doubts over the fitness of defensive players Javi Martinez and Jan Kirchoff; even Bastian Schweinsteiger is struggling with his fitness.

- If Bayern and Guardiola have the edge over Chelsea and Mourinho, I think it won't be that much. It will probably be a very tight match you can't rule out a draw at ft.

Jose was absolutely right to include Torres in the starting lineup as he scored the opening goal!

Fantastic 47' goal by Franck Ribery, who is definitely on attack mode tonight.

Lots of chances for Bayern but Chelsea's good defence is making it hard for Bayern. Great night for both keepers, as well.

Mandzukic and Ribery are relentless! Bayern are going real deep into Chelsea's territory but for all the threats, Chelsea's defense is rock solid.

Also, this has been a wonderful night for Petr Cech.

Almost! I think it was just 7 or 5 seconds before time that Martinez scored that goal. The defense yielded to Bayern's relentless attack. The game was more like Chelsea's defense definitely matching Bayern's offense. Great game, though. One of those moments when "anything can happen in football" makes a lot of sense. On the other hand, I was right not to rule out the draw at FT.

Placed a mix parlay bet on some league matches

Crystal Palace vs Sunderland @ 2.99
Juventus vs Lazio (+1.25) @ 2.07
Celta Vigo @ 2.17 vs Granada
Chievo vs Napoli @ 1.93

- Stake 50 to win ~1,296.05
A little doubtful if Juventus can overcome +1.25 handicap and repeat a 4-0 victory over Lazio in the supercup.

Things are getting exciting between Cardiff and Everton, especially at the final minutes of the 1st half. I guess it's just a matter of time til Everton nails that goal. They've been attacking Cardiff hard, though Marshall is doing a great job stopping the ball.
