Hi

I have done an automation rule to lay the 2 or 3 favourites in horse racing £100 each then green out in inplay time for a target profit of around £10 to £50.

This system fails 2 of 10 times, I am not sure why, could it be the odds that I am laying or the distance of the race or maybe any other reasons.

I would appreciate if someone could help me on this.

Thanks in advance.

Could be because the horses you are laying have an SP of around 5...

I cant help you at the moment because I have to get food on for the kids...but dont use £100 stakes in a live market if your automation rules arent doing what you want them to do....it's like driving a truck without breaks. Im not patronizing you...just saying, it can be easy to blow your bank...use small stakes , £2..£3 until it works...it's just an idea

Good luck

Hi
Are you saying that I have to lay the horses below or over SP of 5. Would the distance of the race and/or amount of horses racing has any impact?

Thanks in advance.

To make a profit you would have to have the odds lengthen during in-running. Why would you expect that that would happen enough times to make it possible? LinusP's point is that a horse with BFSP will win remarkably close to 2 out of 10 times, regardless of distance, going, no. of runners etc. But once you are in-play it's a different ball game and the odds are continuously being rewritten according to the circumstances of the race.
