Does anyone know if its possible to get any information from the sports book through the api?

If not, is it possible to program something to automatically place bets in the sports book? Or is the only way to manually do it through the website?

Not that I am aware.

Prices are terrible on there, 130% books on the racing.

Is there anything saying you can't arb between the 2? I don;t know whether I am being stupid but from a look at the prices it seems entirely possible but I wasnt sure what the rules are.....assuming you are not a pc payer.

the first 2 races I was looking at it earlier on had a decent arb difference. The last at york wasn't but it wasn't far off. We're not talking huge differencies here but if you could throw a few hundred in and take account for commissions and you weren't a high pc payer then it looks possible in theory.

I was just looking into it a bit and wondered about the api information more than anything because I am pretty sure all this behaviour we are seeing is somehow related to the sportsbook. Thats when it all really started IMHO.

The arbs can be absolutely superb on the sportsbook, but you will only last a week. I am limited to 50p..

thats interesting linusP! Thats going to have skewed the turnover figures which clearly people have been doing! Especially if betfair are putting the other side back into the market!

One of my theories of all these mini whipsaws we have been seeing is the sportsbook taking liquidity out of the exchange and then trying to put it back in at opposite sides to the market than what we are all expecting the direction to go.

I spent my Christmas holidays doing it everyday and I never saw any evidence of my bet hitting the exchange. Only when betting over £50 did the odds get cut, so multiple £40 bets were the best way of making money.

I once got over £100 at 9 when it was 3.8ish on the exchange :D

Feel a bit silly for only just looking at it to be honest! It seems it is more prevalent than I realised!
