Have a look at the screen shot, crazy low you might think! What makes it even more crazy is the fact El Libertador was beaten on the line and Lord Golan was a length back in 3rd but traded down to 1.6 as opposed to 2.32 for El Libertador.

This is my take on it. I have watched the finish from 2f out three times. I believe IMHO the clock beaters thought El Libertador was beaten so they lumped on Lord Golan only to find Impertinent swooping right on the line and El Libertador actually getting the better of Lord Golan.

The madness continues. I play in running if I can find an edge but I do not look for the winner or loser as such. I look for horses travelling well or not travelling well. I then look to back/lay or lay/back them.

In this race I backed Chortle at 14 in running and traded out at 2.6; yes with hindsight I could have let it trade lower as it went 1.4.

The winner was pushed out to ~275-280 which to me clearly demonstrates some people are not clued up on maths, racing or trading. They are surely just trying to "buy money" which seems to be having the opposite effect from where I am standing!

I'll be honest, I missed that. I had about an hour's sleep as I was struggling!

Linus do you manually back these or use automation to back everything at certain prices in play for a certain length of time type thing?

Hi Jim, I manually back as I use very small stakes, I don't have any automation running on this strategy just simple back bets.

get you. Do you just use the in play trader and if you think the price has shot out too soon put minimum stakes in at huge prices?
