Forgive me if this subject has cropped up before.

I am looking into the possibility of setting up an Excel Automation based upon the same functionality as the "Make Market" option found on the One-click page.

As far as I can see the only way of placing opposing bets is to use the offset option, which is not what I am looking to do.

Is it possible to do this?

It's easy to do, you just need to nominate a price in Excel. Nothing complicated. You tell it what price you want to place a bet at.

Many thanks for the reply.

I'm probably being a bit thick here.

As I understand it the "Make Market" option places a lay bet and a back bet at the same time. With Excel I thought you could place only one bet at a time.

Presumably, it would be possible to place one bet, clear the status cells and then place the opposite bet, but would there be any significant time delay?

Best regards

I am fairly sure including "FORCE_OFFSET:TRUE" in the script will do what you want.

I'll give it a try.

Hello
I need your help! pleaseeee
When I go on: Spawning Multiple Ladders for Multiple Markets.
And Once markets are in the main Guardian window you can open a new ladder by right-clicking on the market name.
But not work. by right-clicking on the market name(nothing appears)
How can I open multiple markets?

If you place an offset order via excel without fill or kill then both orders will be fired at the same time creating a make market position. Change the offset tick value to 1 to replicate the make market function or wider if you wish to play around a bit.

I used the instruction LAY FORCE_OFFSET:TRUE but it only placed a lay bet.

What am I doing wrong?

You need to be on version 1.35 or higher to do that.

Thanks LinusP & Euler for your input.

I've solved the problem.

The instruction I used was incorrect. I should have used LAY OFFSET:1 FORCE_OFFSET_TRUE. This placed both bets as per Make Market.

BTW I am on V1.35.0

Many thanks

I should have said FORCE_OFFSET:TRUE.

Oops

Y, you don't need to be on 1.35 to do that, just responding to Milano, who hijacked your thread!

Following on from yesterday's posts.

I can now, using Excel, replicate the Make Market functionality. I now have another question, I can place a Stop Loss instruction using Excel but it only places it on one side. Is there a simple way of automatically placing a Stop Loss on both Back and Lay options?

Cheers
