I dont think youll be able to put a stop loss on "both" sides as one side will be winning. I think youll need a cashout cmmd

I can now, using Excel, replicate the Make Market functionality. I now have another question, I can place a Stop Loss instruction using Excel but it only places it on one side. Is there a simple way of automatically placing a Stop Loss on both Back and Lay options?

Cheers

Ged,
Just a thought; If you're going down the excel route, its worth thinking about to structure your spreadsheet in general as you will find it grows over time.
Some of my spreadsheets must have 30 cols and are massive*

Some tips:

- Keep 10-15 columns free after the Betangel Data Cells. Just note them as "reserved", That way, if new versions of Betangel are real released in the future that produces more info, you won't have to move all your commands. For example - After a version that was released in the past that introduced all the matched bet info, I had to redo all my spreadsheets, took me ages

- I read somewhere that LOOKUP commands execute faster if the data is on the same worksheet. It might be only millisecs, but thats a long time in automation. (PS I dont know if this its true, but I implemented it anyway, maybe someone on here can confirm that?)

- In the Bet command field, you can have up to seven If commands.
I tend to have seven corresponding "Qualification" cells. Ie seven strategies on a single worksheet. It just makes it simpler to have seven single formulae that a single one combined. Easier to edit/test too

- Safety. (I should have put this as point one really). Move most of your money to your Aus wallet. Put plenty of checks in your commands to make sure your not over committing. Ie if you're laying, then a condition about the odds value in H9 being less than a certain value for instance.

- All my spreadsheet are build on what I think of a standard build. i.e. the chassis if you like. You build your first spreadsheet then all variants going forward are easy to introduce and modify

- Keep good records. Only last week I was running two identical systems, but the time delay on the fill/kills were different by 0.5 sec. One system returned 4 times what the other one did.

Anyway, just a couple of points, but worth spending some time thinking about how to structure. A little time spent now will save you lots of time in the future.

regards
Peter
* = To contradict myself on this point above. In general try and simplify your spreadsheets or distill them down to simple commands. The more complicated the criteria to produce a trigger, the less bets you will fire into the market (check out Occams razor on Wiki)

Two cents, if you would like.

I wouldn't put too much effort into automating this if I were you. Never gonna work to a polished state where you switch it on and go down the pub.

You'd be better placing some spreads manually in half-a-dozen markets that you fancy you could trade out when it runs against you.

Not to be negative... just sharing experience.
Cheers.
