I am sure you meant it as a joke but that comment is racist, I would advise removal.
Islam is a religion, not a race, so the comment isn't, strictly speaking, racist. However, whether one should be posting potentially offensive comments like that in a public forum is another matter.

Point well made, my mistake.Ferru123 wrote:Islam is a religion, not a race, so the comment isn't, strictly speaking, racist.
I like the idea of Amazon Air, this is the link to Amazon's advert for it:

They are not the first to think about doing this, I understand it is already being done in Australia.
I think they should try to avoid the use of 'drones' as I think that puts a negative spin on it due to the linking to American war drones.
In terms of UPS, Fed-Ex and the like I see it as a negative and taking money away from them.
One thing I can't get my head around is how you return the delivery box, perhaps there is a local drop off point? Or you can pop it in the post or the drone can collect it next time, but still it is a downside to it but I am sure they have thought of a solution already.
I think the drones themselves would make a pretty cool 'boys toy'.
Did anyone see the Amazon Panorama program the other day - I thought it was a terrible bit of TV and summed up quite a few things that are wrong with parts of the current workforce and just highlights why Amazon and others are soon keen to remove the human element and replace it with machines that don't turn up late etc.
Nope, ain't racist or anything bigoted.
Totally fair comment.
Doubtless if the Feds started using drones to eliminate redneck retards and the comment was if you're neighbours were Christian and you lived in Alabama you shouldn't order from Amazon it would have counted as very drole.

Kelpie - Fair enough.
I originally thought you were implying that your muslim neighbours would nick your order, which I thought was a bit unfair.

If comments that could be deemed racist should be removed, shouldn't the above be removed for being sexist?andyfuller wrote: I think the drones themselves would make a pretty cool 'boys toy'.

Amazon yesterday had its busiest ever day of sales. 4.1 million items were ordered at a rate of 47 per second

reckon if they can overcome the myriad of legal problems this will no doubt throw up (such as, if their drone scratches my motor, delivering to next door who pays?, if they hit telephone or power lines and damages them etc, who pays, if it hits someone on the head who pays. etc, etc, etc,), some nice opportunities will be thrown up for people with a rascal type nature.
people will be able to put nets up to try and catch them (empty or loaded just for the crack), having a pop at them with air rifles.
taking your delivery and placing a dog turd in the basket to return to depot, i would without a doubt place any junk mail, kebab shop, indian take away menus etc in the basket to return to the depot, just because i can, i would not be able to resist it.
cant wait gonna open up a whole new avenue of stupid trite juvenile waste time nonsense fun.

complete pr stunt IMHO. The cost of producing these. licensing them and the actual cost of fuel/electric to deliver to a house means this is just plain economically unviable. Not to mention are they going to really build a distribution centre every 10 miles radius!!!
Googles automated stuff they recently announced is far more viable for delivery purposes.
