The money arrived very late on some markets. IMO some were very heavily manipulated too later on in the day. On those markets throw anything you've learnt away, try to predict how their manipulating the market and jump on it.

Yea you're right, everything I'd learnt was out of the window today. I was barely green on 2 races today, pathetic. I've been so consistent over the last few months as well, I just don't know what happened.

Absolutely shattered my confidence has that though, felt like a novice again :x

The rule is:
If it goes in play at any stage the bets will stand. If it does not go in play any bets after the official off time are void.

If you are on the wrong side of this rule then it's tough shit. (Well that's the gist of it ) :)

When you say you struggled, was it pre-race trading anywhere between 5 - 0 minutes before the off?

It depends on your style of trading, but there were numerous occassions where the price seemed to settle as the liquity arrived, then the price got smashed out.

These cause me the biggest trading pain. Sometimes its a horse playing up or natural movement, but like today it was IMO clear manipulation which just seems to hammer through prices up and down no matter what you throw at it.

If the market looks manipulated I just switch from scalping to swing trading. Really it just means I far more ready and willing to cut losing trades much quicker.

This might have been your case, but this is what I was doing in the latter part of the afternoon and it was tough going.

It was the same for me today but fortunately I am learning to take losses early and not let them get big...so breaking even so far but still an awkward day.

I mainly swing trade, I was just finding that I was messing up all my entries and because the market was shifting so quickly when the late money came in, struggling to exit.

All my own fault for not adapting to the market conditions quick enough, I'm annoyed at myself for not thinking quick enough.

Oh well it's gone now, I'll reset and go again at the weekend.

If you've been consistent the last couple of months, you've taken a loss today and not chased your loses which it appears you have then in the trading world that's a very successful day. More so than a profitable day IMO.

It's my first full day back since last Sunday, making slow but steady progress.

I was doing ok until the 2.30 at lingfield when it seemed to go a bit pear shaped. After laying the favourite with too big a stake I waited too long and had to take a big loss. Another lesson learned for next time!

How are we all getting on today? I hope plenty of green for all today!
