Dat is amazing Peter. You are a comic genius. I bet your family don't appreciate you am I right? I even got the northern intonation as I fell off my chair laughing.
I will try, but bear in mind I am German so humour iz tricky for me.
Q What is this?
A A shy Parrot
Today's Horse Racing
Damn I should have explained that it was visual joke.
I put my hand under the shirt on my opposite shoulder making a parrot shaped lump. Sometimes hecklers in zee beer kellers shout "It is a chip on your shoulder" but no it is a shy parrot.
I know I know

A man goes to a fancy costume party wearing only a glass jar on his penis.
A woman asks, 'What are you?'
He says, 'I'm a fireman'
'But you're only wearing a glass jar,' says the woman.
'Exactly! In an emergency, break glass, pull knob and I'll come as fast as I can!'

...ah, just wandered in to find out how the day's racing was - didn't realise it was being used for open mic night, sorry. I'll get my coat.
Eh ? Alright then. Is this thing on ?
No, you'll have to speak louder, my hearing's not so good - I went for a hearing test and the doctor asked me to explain the symptoms;
I said Homer is a fat yellow bloke and his wife Marge has blue hair.
Actually I will get my coat.

Did anyone see this race? I'm looking at in-running LAY odds. 15 Seconds before the finish, VIM was consistently between 1.2 and 1.5, with Habesh trending upward (from 30 seconds before the end, getting up to 200). Then, just 4 seconds to go, odds on Habesh dropped below VIM and he went on to win.
So, not having seen the race, just looking at the odds available, I'm puzzled as to what happened. Did Mr Lee, stop for a Pee? (Sorry.) I don't often see so much money get it so wrong (in terms of odds), that close to the finish.
My system correctly LAY'd Habesh (it made the correct decision, based on the parameters I've set). And that eases slightly the pain in my wallet. But I am just curious to what the last furlong looked like!

Ahha. Racing post commentary says that Habesh was mid-field, then stumbled 3f out - which would be about 30-35 seconds. So, odds moved against him at that point (no surprise) but he recovered well. Hat's off to both horse and jockey.EyePeaSea wrote:(from 30 seconds before the end, getting up to 200)
