Well when i saw this title I thought it was an early Christmas present and perhaps they were going to cancel the premium charge as it fell on Christmas day…not so, maybe next year.. :cry:

Hi x,

Because Christmas Day falls on a Wednesday this year, next week’s Premium Charge debits will be made a day early. If you owe a Premium Charge, your account will be debited on Tuesday December 24 at Midday. This will not affect how the Premium Charge is calculated. This change will only affect Premium Charge debits for one week, with all subsequent Premium Charge debits returning to Wednesdays at Midday from January 1 2014.

Last time I checked, computers can do this sort of thing even on holidays.

To me this is a signal of an over-manned and under-scrutinised organisation. Somebody in betfair back office has conned management into thinking you simply can't do without human supervision of automation. And some management waste of space has fallen for it.

I imagine the excuse used by back office staff was "but there will nobody here with bananas, who will feed the chimps?"

I also saw this but thought it has to be a wind up as surely Betfair couldn't possibly be so crass?

I haven't got an email and I don't know anybody that has, so if anybody has; please come forward.

I think I know why I didn't get the email, but it seems other have, it's amazing they would send it.

Yep it was on my brother in laws account (I didn't get this email, nor did anyone else I know - Strange!)

I'm more inclined to think they changed the day to avoid any accusations of Scrooge like behavior.
