I've been trading professionally for 3 years full time. 2 part time before that!
So, yes?

I always have a plan when I trade a market, however, I let the market tell me what it wants to do rather than follow a strict set of trading rules. Knowing what the market wants to do and being able to trade it are 2 different things though! Especially when real money and fill rate is so low.

Ah ok, it sounds like your having problems having your orders taken rather than judging the movement of the market.

Market seems to be turning so quickly, able to find the direction to get on but the reversal is extreme.

its because people are trying to push the market where it probably wants to go but when it doesn;t go they then get out. This causes a very quick reversal you can;t get on or out of. The attached graph from earlier today is typical of what is happening.

The markets are so thin at the moment I am finding the best strategies are the back to lay,lay to back strategies. I don;t particularly like them but because they are dictated by race position rather than liquidity they are proving to be fairly consistent.

It's low odds Handicaps day. I thought the idea of a handicap was there competitive.
