What's the difference between this and betting on a laptop at a race meeting? It's a massive over reaction by the Aussies, but happy to see it stamped out.
Some of the practices that come under "fair play" are a bit bizarre in Oz. Take Racing: The trainer has to tell the stewards how a horse will be ridden and this is public knowledge. Why? Isn't this tactics? Would Arsene Wenger publish how his team will play to beat a rival? This is a part of the game.

Anyway, never met any Aussie who had any idea of what "fair play" actually is. :)

Courtsiding wouldn't even be worth considering if the TV industry cut the transmission delays. In the good old days of analogue TV everything was as good as live on your TV set unless it came through a satellite connection.
I was just watching Eurosport TV while trying out a strategy on the Pospisil/Ebden match this morning and the video was 2 full points behind the online "smarttracker" on the Aus Open website. I don't know how "delayed" the smarttracker is but at least it is all the same for everyone using it on this side of the planet.
I found it hopeless to trade inter-game. Better to enter on a change-of-end break and exit when target looks like being achieved.
Any suggestions as to alternative video feeds that might be nearer to real-time than others?

Does anybody here use -> http://www.tennisinsight.com ? And would they recommend it?

I am looking for an online statistic service (like FootballFormLabs). I had a quick look and Tennis Insight looks quite useful, like being able to select data for a single player over different time periods and surfaces.

I predict the charges will end up being withdrawn.

I recommend it Steve and use it all the time, the stats it has are second to none and are a great help.

My man Murray stuttered a bit in the first set against Lopez, but once he got going he ran away with the game again, a good solid win if you ask me. Price for the winners market hasn't budged though, Murray still around 12.0.

Many thanks. Yes, it looks a good service and the price is very reasonable. I am going to give it a try.

ANOTHER Serena cave, this is getting familiar.

Feel sorry for the mugs who backed her on 1.1 at the bookies after the first set.

Doubt the three setter data on Serena is other than damning; she just carries too much weight and can't handle the longer physical matches. If she played rugby she's be front row and get subbed after 50 mins

Interesting game, Nadal-Nishikori ; Nishikori really the first person to put Nadal under some real pressure in the tournament. He's playing well Nishikori!

Federer really surprises everyone yet again, defying talk of decline. He's demolished his early round opponents, then, in a major turn-up, destroyed top player Tsonga. His odds have been slashed in half, and his odds are now a coin-toss (evens) against Murray!
