Hi Guys,

Just started with Betangel and trying to get to grips with it but it does look excellent so far.

My question is a very simple one. In my automation I am opening a trade and then closing a trade after a predetermined time. My basic question is what rule is best to use to close an order.

For example I have a Back trade in the market and then want to take the profit or loss is it best to use the 'close on selection rule' or just fire a lay bet at back stake into the market at best price?

Is there any info anywhere where I can get a better explanation of the different rule types? The manual doesn't go into detail on each one.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You could use either in this case - if you know what the net stake is.

Using the close trade rule will automatically calculate the required net stake for you. If you use the opposing lay bet then you will need to keep tabs of the stake required. This could get out of hand if you have placed hundreds of bets into the market.

I recommend you use practice mode and try each rule out and compare the difference without risking any money.

Thanks Sense,

Yes I am in practice mode at the moment and testing it on various markets with varying degree of volatility to try and catch as much info as possible.

Would be nice just to have a more indepth description of all the various rule, most are self explanatory but some a little more obscure.

I agree. And the various charts could be explained too.
