Hi,

Maybe this situation was discussed already but I didn,t find it.
I,m learning trading now still beginner and I found article on you site about scalping (http://www.betangel.com/learn-to-trade- ... alping.pdf).
I don,t understand the example with 2.88 lay and 2.9 back odd. It claims I should have 10 € of profit if I bet 500 but if I take in account 5 % commission I pay 25 €.
I have to pay more commission then my profit is. I already put that in calculator and that also gives me profit with 5 % commisson. What I don,t see here what others see?

Kind regards,
Tony

The 5% commission is only applied to your profit, so 5% of £10 would mean you profit is £9.50

Aha

Thx for kind and fast answer.
So if I understand correctly betfair takes commission on your profit on complete market and not only on winning bet ?
Example in this case they take 5% on my 10 € profit but if I would took only one bet in this market for example I would lay that bet for 500€ and won I would pay 5% out of 500€ so 25€?
And if I finished on market without profit in minus I wouldn,t pay commisson even if there is some winning bet inside?

Thx for your answer before I do some mistake on betfair?

Kind regards,
Toni
