free api/BA data requests

I would like to run the free BF api in the background for recording/analysis purposes as this allows the use of python rather than VBA. Would this impact on the data requests limit when trading through BA? Also, would BF notice that I was not using the free api to place bets and conclude that I was data mining?

There is a free API but you are limited on the amount of calls you can make.

@LinusP Yes, I know, I just wondered if those calls were deducted from the calls available to BA or whether they were freebies.

Yeh they will be added, just create a new betfair account....
