Does anyone have Sky Sports / ESPN / Eurosport HD?

I have heard that the HD channels are about 3-5 seconds behind the normal standard definition ones.

Can anyone help me with this. Is it true?

Thanks in advance if anyone can offer any advise.

Hi
I think there is a slight delay...
If I' m watching HD in one room and my son is watching the same game in another room, then it is noticeable...
Perhaps someone else on here will be able to give you the exact time delay...
regards
Peter

I read somewhere that the market suspends on betfair a couple of seconds before a goal goes in, when watching HD.
Which is obviously no good for trading.
Would like to find out if any other people have found this.

You will always get a delay on HD channels against SD ones due to the increase in detail needing to be sent. If you have a HD channel and a SD channel displaying pics at the same time then the SD channel is being delayed more than usual.
Also yes you don't want to trade using HD pics as often the betfair market will suspend a few seconds before a goal shows up on a HD channel.

If you have a HD Sky box and the HD package can you still watch the SD sports channels in normal time?
