I'm shattered after today. I'll pop back in tomorrow and summarise. It's a case of feast to famine tomorrow so I'm sure I'll have plenty more time to chat.

I had a great day until I forgot to close out a profit as I was watching the late off at chelt and got caught out at lingfield.... I am a newb so still trading small stakes... That kicked me in the ass for £77 overall loss on the day...

I started to panic and started fluffing it... Missing the moves and laying at the top and backing at the bottom.....

Will have myself a beer, chill out tonight and start a fresh tomorrow, chalk it up to experience and whittle away at the loss...

No point trying to chase the loss...

Just finished looking at the data from Chelts 2014

Pre off turnover was £94m vs £97m last year.

9/28 races had an SP of <100%

All but one winner came from the front nine, 6/28 favourites won.

Overall it was less volatile than previous years, but, the front two were more volatile than usual.

Dawalan moved from 10.5 to 4.70 which was a 35 tick range but this and last year we had 45 tick moves near the front of the book. This year it was Briar hill which had a range of 3.50 to 2.30.

About a 6% fall in turnover in real terms!

Any stats on Betdaq?

No reliable data unfortunately. I'm pretty sure Betdaq will be growing as I'm much more active on it now and so are a few others so we will pump many millions extra through it this year.

I wonder how much business the sportsbook did and what the exchange liquidity figure would have been if the sportsbook hadn't been introduced
