I just wanted to get other traders to give their views on the markets today. I am not worried if you are a newbie, intermediate, advanced or even professional I would just like to get your take on the markets.

I'll start with my two pence worth.

They are predicable in their movement, I have managed to get the movement on the 1st and 2nd fav pretty much spot on. What I cannot achieve very well is having my orders matched. I am not trading lumps of money, generally 50% of the amounts on each price point. That varies from £200 up to £1000 but getting filled is like pulling teeth. I normally queue but I am finding if I do that I get 10-15% of my order filled and then it runs away from me. I have had to push in ahead of the money which isn't ideal but it seems the only way to get fully matched.

How is everyone else finding it? As I am able to get the movement correct it allows me to jump in but I know as soon as I get one wrong it will cost me.

I might be overly sensitive but the API still doesn't feel great.

Not noticed anything different to usual, but I do feel like I am struggling to get orders matched at times when exiting trades.

I have also noticed a lot of BOTS in the markets. I look at a fairly benign market and put in an order of £100, £250, £500 according to how much is already there and it triggers a flurry of activity. I have tried this multiple times to ensure it isn't coincidence and sure enough it works every time.

The website is extremely slow at the moment, must be putting some people off betting today

Yes guys I also noticed that about their website. I suffered a nasty loss when the amounts exploded metaphorically speaking and before I knew it I was facing a large -£150

EDIT: It was actually -£250 :(

I have come on to the forum exactly for this reason just now and saw your thread. Its all going very well for me which is unusual. Thought the markets felt different today so decided to have a look on here to see if anyone posted about it!

I am pleased for you MisterX

It is getting very sticky here for me. I just grabbed a profit on the Lingfield 16:10 and I will call it a day now as I feel a complete meltdown could be imminent. I hope I am wrong!

just called them.... apparently they didnt realise anything was wrong and they will pass it on to the technical team (suprisingly the bloke seemed interesting in helping for a change) - i did point out that people were telling them on their twitter feed at 3pm ...just about sums it up.

Looks like your problems were software related yesterday.

You mean... betfair's clandestine bots to engineer edges out of the market did malfunction, or did not?

That comment was aimed more at Chuck, I'm sure he will know what I'm saying.

Today will be a bit of mixed up day I would think. It will be difficult to see through the clashing races.
