A place to discuss anything.

For 2 days now betfair have not allowed me to withdraw any money due to 'technical issues' that they promise will be resolved. I think it's pretty poor from from them. Is anyone else having problems?

I was about to withdraw, so that's a bit alarming!

i usually withdraw the bulk of my bank after each session i trade, and reload the next session.

i traded saturday and sunday and withdrew as normal both days, no problems meet at all.

i rarely trade on mondays so no reload today but, i will be trading tomorrow (and rest of the week),so will see what happens tomorow, if any probs will post.

It's only affecting some customers, apparently. My money left the betfair account and then a couple of days later showed back up in my betfair account. At first I thought I'd left a position open by mistake and luckily won but on further inspection my withdrawal was 'reloaded' back into my betfair account. To top it off, in between I had deposited another full bank and cannot withdraw anything at all so now I have double the amount in my betfair account I'd like and can't withdraw anything!

I had to ring the helpdesk up this morning. After half an hour on hold I gave up. Called back later and spent another half hour waiting, no answer.

So I rang up the telephone betting line to try to talk to someone and was told that during the last 4 days there have been big issues with making withdrawls and that now people have had enough and are swamping the helpdesk with calls. Sounds like it was something to do with the banking system they have in place, rather than anything more sinister, which is causing the problems.

I'm convinced we'll log on one day to find the website is down & gone forever(along with our money)

Try calling saying you want to deposit some funds and see if they are having difficulties with banking.

there we go..
they got me...but give me a free 5 bet on sportsbook

Hi Marc,

On Friday March 21 we experienced a problem with our payment service. The issue took until Monday to reconcile with our banks during which time withdrawals from your account were suspended.

All services for your account have been restored. We are very sorry if you were inconvenienced.

We remind you that customer funds are kept in a trust fund away from Betfair, so your money is always absolutely safe.

Please accept a free €5 Sportsbook bet (or currency equivalent) as an apology.

Click here to claim your free bet.

Regards,

Ian Chuter

I am still unable to withdraw. What a joke. Will be a week tomorrow. Slightly concerned how long this will go on. All I keep getting is the same old line from the helpdesk aswell. Very frustrating.

Isn't this what happened initially with Canbet - lots of withdrawal issues blamed on banking systems?

It turns out they were skint and the money had run dry

Withdrew yesterday and got the funds in the morning, using an e-wallet.

Have you tried one?

No I've never used one.

I've contacted Ian Chuter directly and he's DM'd me on twitter so hopefully an end is nigh!
