It seems I too have been contacted by the same PM poster today. TBH I gave them short shrift as it was clear they were using a generic message bar changing the user name at the top.
Also had they put any effort into looking at my posts it would have been clear that it was totally pointless contacting me.
I have not heard back from them yet as I don't believe they have read my return PM but basically I told them trading was not the option for the them imo and they should go and look for a job.
I would not be surprised if they contact others with the same message.

I've never known anyone get if they don't ask!
Its not me by the way. Is it?

There is no problem for anyone asking for help. It's the way you do it that makes the difference. Advice is given freely on here. I am happy to point anyone who asks me in the right direction. I even made a video especially to help Mindiawl with the watch list yesterday.steven1976 wrote:I've never known anyone get if they don't ask!Its not me by the way. Is it?
I'm not letting one misguided individual spoil it for the rest.
I'm surprised you haven't had a lot more of that sort of thing before tbh Mugs. It's almost an inevitable consequence of 'fame' unfortunately that you're going to attract some strange and / or desperate people, especially in this industry.
I guess the trick is to not to take it personally when it happens but at the same time not withdraw completely and depersonalise everyone that contacts you.
I can see why people like Adam Heathcote disappear from view, everyone wanting something from them...
I think the guru / student relationship thing is an interesting one. It must be addictive in a certain way to have people looking up to you yet isolating at the same time.
I remember seeing an interview with Bob Dylan where he said that fame is actually quite isolating because when you walk into a room most people instantly change and very few people are real with you anymore.
But anyway don't let one idiot put you off your trading, even for one day! I guess most of us are lucky that, although in many ways we are kind of like sportsmen, we play our sport behind closed doors and we don't have to put up with idiots in the crowd putting us off like real sportsmen do, which I suppose is a whole different type of pressure to learn to overcome.

However as I say if you don't ask you won't get, so although it upset you last time I'm sure next time it will just be water off a ducks back. You could simply send them a link to pay to come on your course. They will soon then either leave or have a full day for yoyr help. That's what I would do anyway because if they desperatley want your time then they could pay for it.
I wish a few more PC payers would put daily vids out on the web as you have done to be honest. I think it would help reinvent the markets a little.
