Yes, I will add to the trading bank, too, it never occurred to me about trading higher odds, that the liability would be so high. I just added another grand to the bank, which should be fine now, as the max I go per trade is £50 at the moment.
It's this bit I cannot make sense of, the last 2 trades (on that horse), I just didn't do that. I would never back, and then lay at a higher price in the strategy I am using:
I was 0.98p up before the last 2 trades based on the trading history, and I definitely placed the back bet higher, then layed lower as the odds dropped, so Betangel was showing a win of about £5.
Still baffled, so wish I had recorded it.

First you'd better decrease your stakes rather then increase your bank if you're still at the beggining.
Secondly there's nothing to be baffled about.
If you look at your BA log you placed 50 @ 8.6 just before the off.
you closed your trade INPLAY with a lay 53.74 @ 8
The market was suspended and betfair ajusted the odds because there was a non runner
so 8.6 turned into 7.74
8.6-10% = 7.74
This is happening because betfair is not settling the odds in an instant but after the market finished. There are hundreds of bets to be reajusted.
Secondly there's nothing to be baffled about.

Today I traded 6 IN PLAY races, and won 6 trades, BUT what I noticed (and never noticed before) is that on 2 occasions, even though the back bet was taken, not ALL of it was taken, which without this conversation/situation happening I would not have noticed, and probably made a loss; so I have learned something from yesterday's loss, and can move forward.
Today, I placed the back bet, the odds dropped, then placed the lay trade tried to close my trade for a profit (green profit figures displayed), then see that not all the back bet had been taken, so just moved it down, and it was taken. Twice in 6 trades this happened today - I was pleased they were both longer races, and not 7F, etc. as it gave me time to adjust and act.
