Okay so I must apologise for not adding my input to Andy's At the Adverts post but here is something else that annoys the hell out of me.
The next race is the 14:40 Folkestone and there are only 3 minutes to the off. Most racing fans, traders and gamblers alike would want to see the horses either parading or making there was to the post at Folkestone. The eejits at At the Adverts decide it would be better if we watched some Irish Donkeys parading out rugged up at Down Patrick, a race that is scheduled to start 5 minutes AFTER the Folkestone race. We then listen to the voice of Ireland talking guff as 2 or 3 donkeys walk past the obligatory 1 man and his dog.
I am sat there screaming at the TV asking why they must show this crap on Xtra and At the Adverts simultaneously when Folkestone is only 1 minute away from starting.
Then it comes from the voice of Ireland "we're going to take a quick break now!"
The adverts are on and then we come back to see the horses at the start and 10 seconds later they're off. I was half expecting the commentator to say "They're just approaching the first so with that, we'll take another quick break!"
Is it me????
