I'm interested to know if the majority of traders trade last ten minutes or further out, I'm having mixed results on both but both positive enough. Although I find hard to get a lot matched hour/ half hour pre race

Am I going on to early?

Best thing to do is to play around and find what works for you. Each trader is different, some prefer trading early, some prefer trading late, all depends on your natural style. If you search the forum you will see that this question has been asked (and answered before.)

Hope that helps!

Hgodden summed it up but I'll add a bit more about my activity.

I will trade at any time in a market if there is an opportunity. It could be 3 hours out or 3 seconds out, if there's a trend then I will try and take advantage.

If you are looking when to get involved then money in the market is a good guide. If there is an average £50 available on each price point then don't use more. The idea is to stay below the radar rather than be seen. Also, be aware that BOTS are lurking and often your order will trigger more activity. If you use appropriate stakes you'll be fine.
