Need a bit of advice. I'm wanting to put in a lay bet 10 ticks above current price but every time I try, I'm getting a lot lower price.
I've tried it for a few days in practice mode at different times prior to race off on various race etc but not getting the price I'm asking for E.g current price 6.0. I click on 8.0 but getting a lot lower price for instance 6.2 or thereabouts.
I'm wanting to apply this in Guadian automation when I get it right and would I need to apply a condition as well ?

cause you will be matched at the best price available. thats how exchanges work.
if you offer to lay at at 8 and the available price is 6.2 - you will be matched at 6.2 - the best available price.
why on earth would you you wish to lay 10 ticks higher than the current price?

It is only one part of a strategy I have. I put 3 bets into the market. 1 back bet, 2 lay bets . One of the lay beys being about 10 ticks above the current price.
So if I implement this in Guardian using the parameters set at 10 custom ticks above BSP, would I need to also set a condition with it and if so what?

as i said if you offer a lay 10 ticks above the current price then it will match at the best price available - it will not que up waiting for a 10 tick drift.
how you going to offer 10 ticks above bsp as bsp is not known until just after the off?

before the race starts
2. then put in a lay bet at x ticks below current price.
3. then put in a 2nd lay bet 10 ticks or thereabouts above the current price.all this to be done before the race starts.
If it goes in play then all well and good.
I want to set it all up in guardian to trigger automatically.
so in the parameters section where I want it to trigger the 2nd lay bet 10 custom ticks above, what else should I be setting it as for it all to work and conditions , if any ?
