Because I'm awaiting a very large cheque from DPD... Or not... :-)

Basically, I paid extra to have a parcel delivered at the weekend. I thought the charge was £5.00, but then received this email from DPD. Apparently, Saturday deliveries are really quite expensive. Over £79,000,000 !

Not sure what I'm amazed at most. The rather excessive charge, or the fact that they say that they've actually managed to get this out of my bank account.

I sent them a message asking them to deliver on Monday (for free) and then refund me the full £79m. Got a tweet back from them agreeing that this would be great, as long as I went 50/50 with people in the DPD office :-)

I've always thought that DPD were a great delivery firm and it's also nice to see that they have a sense of humour as well.

LOL brilliant

We use Interlink Express as our Courier for our business (they are part of the same group as DPD) we have used every Courier in the UK over the years (we send out a lot of parcels) and I can honestly say that Interlink Express are the best by a Country Mile. They are miles ahead of any of their competition and if you ever need to use a Courier I cannot recommend them highly enough :)

At £79m, I think I'll switch to DPD as well.
