Hi all i'v been using Betangel for about a year now and i'v not seen much about Mr Webb and other videos such as Mugsgame.
Maybe this could be a new thread and we can post videos we like and why we like them?
One video i like is called - Betfair trading strategies getting from novice to expert. which can be found on Youtube.
Why do i like it? In this video Peter talks about when he started Trading and how he was unwilling to take risks and that held him back from making money, i was the same for many months putting small amounts of money in very safe postions and if i was lucky the market would come to me and i would win most of the time a very small amount of money.
Could i make a good amount of money from this type of trading? No chance. What i have learn't is to put lots of money into different postions in the market and trade as i go along, if your starting out use small amounts of money and find out what you are good at and work on what you are not good at.
There is more good videos that have helped me and i will be looking to post more, feel free to post any more you like.
Peter Webb videos
Peter's videos are aimed at highlighting the benefits of trading.....and ultimately purchasing BA
He is the king of trading, and by all accounts his trading courses are sensational
Mugs has disappeared - I questioned the reasons behind his blogs and videos when he suddenly started making them. He claimed "it's was to give something back and it helps my trading", but now I notice he's actually selling training courses like he's Peter Webb himself, which I suspect was his aim all along

Peter is running a business and ofcourse he puts his videos out to get more business, but being a good trader letiss you must agree he is pushing people in the right direction?
And on Mugs he can do the same if he wants just like you could if you want, i like Mugs videos on risk.

Peter Webb deserves all the credit he gets. Without him, there mightn't have been people trading on Betfair. A problem I have with "Mugsgame" is his username, I wouldn't want to pay someone to help me if they thought it was a mugs game
And I remember he was always writing "I want to give something back", what a load of bs that was then.

come on guys ,
Mugs put up alot of very very good trading videos over 100 im sure .
that alone has helped alot of people myself included,
i personally dont watch trading videos from other software,i have tried all the other trading software and i fecking hate them.they give me a sore head, its tough enough in the markets without me going through all that shit again of learning new software.and im not saying that to kiss ass, its just the truth,in my opinion betangel is the best,
mugs has helped and alot of other people ,read the replies on his blog ,some people on here make tens of thousands a year ,maybe a month, but where have you guys put up a blog ?or your trading videos to help people ?please post your links,
or perhaps giving cryptic clues is considered helping guys get there foot on the ladder,
the people who have gone way out of there way to help others on here can be counted on one hand.
peter webb
jollygreen
james the first .
lee topless has given some great heads up about the football last couple of years,
and a couple of others i cant think about at the moment,
if mugs is away from his trading desk teaching people how to trade then he deserves to be paid for it.he is a big boy and can do what he wants,

He had my total respect when he was helping people for free. It just doesn't sit well with me when advertising and money (training courses) get involved, after he claims that it was all about "giving back". I have a lot of respect for Caan Berry though as although he has a paid for trading guide available, he gives out free advice everyday and communicates very well with his followers.

They both offer different things in my opinion. Peter will offer up advice of potential strategies, where as mugsgame will put up actual trades showing how he takes money and is willing to sit on it for a long period of time. I doubt they have fallen out as mugs always speaks highly of Peter and I think its his respect of doing his own thing he probably feels not right to contribute here now.
If their motivation to do training courses is to find a few people wanting to try trading and put an extra 5k a month in their pocket for a days work, then I don't blame them.
I've been on Peters course and enjoyed it and took a lot away from it, in understanding the markets, even though it took about two years for some of the stuff he showed to sink in.
Does it mean doing the courses will make you successful? Absolutely not. For me I guess I'm a gambler deep down and as I don't do it for a living, the buzz of the gamble will probably always mean I will not win. Quite often if people advise something we rarely listen. If I was go say someone was running the entire book, I doubt many would acknowledge it. Like wise, one of the strategies peter discussed was to do with golf which I believe he still uses and is probably quite well known but I never follow it because I'm lazy and it doesn't give me the buzz.
If I was starting out and wanting to do this for a living, I'd be signing up for both courses and taking what they have to offer. I mean, what other business could you start for less than a grand. You may fail but such is life, best to get a head start.
As for vids, I also like betmunky on YouTube and can't wait to see Hgodden YouTube page come to life!

What is this? A bunch of whinging poms inciting negative views? No, it cant be...
I for one am grateful for all that mugs has contributed - to this forum, his vids on youtube and his explanations on his website.
Surely Bet Angel are content having their own platform as the key tool for 100's of free top quality trading vids... I myself do prefer betangel over other products, and other software does have a long way to go. Will mugs help improve that software to a legitimate competitor - maybe?
So thanks mugs if you do see this. I would have quit ages ago battling the superbot/higher powers if it was not for you.

I think naffman is a whinging ausy! Could be wrong

I just read this thread again, and it looks like I'm slaughtering Mugs.....I didn't mean to!
I actually think some of his videos are brilliant. The reason why they're so good, is because he isn't trying to demonstrate software like PW. Mugs actually explains what his thought process is and why he's deciding to enter a trade now - that is great for newbies
I was being a bit sly with my digs at him, due to him now selling courses and becoming a trading guru. His blog and videos were simply a way of building his reputation, so outsiders became confident enough to pay him money for a course - He knew this all along
Good luck to him though
I would never make a video personally, as I'm not sure my farmers accent could be stomached, and also a 5 minute video would probably contain 100 four letter words
