Is there any value in trying to follow/trade any trends in the markets the night before or in the morning of each race day?

Or as I suspect, will I just burn energy that could be more profitable trading nearer to the off?

I've often tried to trade some of these bigger races some time out, but it doesn't seem to add much to my profits. So my attention will still be on the period before off. I will experiment again for a bit at the start of the week and see if anything has changed.

How far behind will the channel 4 coverage be to the live action?

Should be almost instant.

hmmm, I watch Channel 4 through a standard def SKY digital box (analogue signal is off now in my region) and I would say that Ch4 is even slower than ATR these days.

If you are digital it will add delay, if you are through a box that will increase it as well.

The only way to get very fast pictures is to view them on the terrestrial feed, direct from the aerial.

Wow just did a quick test and my Virgin Box is 6 seconds behind my TV ariel feed.

Racing UK isn't far behind channel 4 today, I think RUK will be perfectly adequate.

We just timed it at just over 2 seconds. Average is around 2.5 seconds.

I found the inrunning markets were good for taking advantage of the time difference. The Cross Country was where I got my best inrunning result from the time difference on Sizing Australia.

I'll be more active inrunning tomorrow I think

I thought that we had switched completely to Digital broadcast now?

I'm feeding my TV via a Sky link and although I didnt intend using it in the way you have described..its always better to have a fast feed...and always open to ideas..
Is it still possible to obtain a terrestrial feed in the Manchester area?

Different parts of the country are changing over to digital at different points, some areas are only Digital now, others are not. If you google digital switch over or something like that you will find the website that tells you when your region switches.

Sky is much slower than terrestrial - have a look of the Youtube videos I have posted and you will see the time differences between the different formats.
