I have a great interest in politics, so the betting markets get me perversely excited!! :D

Clacton by-election should create good liquidity - there's £9k already and there's not even a date

UKIP trading very low at present. I know they recently had a 44 point lead at the polls, but 1.14 is short for a party that's never won a parliamentary seat

Clacton should be a cake walk for UKIP.

the betting on the next general election most seats market is interesting with "Any Other" trading about 8 times shorter than the Lib Dems!

if Carswell wins and a few others follow him then UKIP could conceivably get on a real roll. remember Ross Perot in the US who got the main parties very worried at one point?
