I've had a look at this race and I am slightly surprised at the price of King's Apollo. I cannot understand why it is so short and can't think what I could be missing.

I looked at the prior form and I wonder if connections have targeted this race as it won an Amateur hurdle at Ludlow last November. It could be that others have picked up on it and 2+2=5!!

I have scoured the form figures and this horse is the lowest rated in every form I have queried. Top Benefit, Bob Will and Tenby Jewel are joint top rated with Carobello and Special Mate just behind them. Kings Apollo is about 5lb inferior to the others!

I could not back this horse at 2.50 when in my book he should be 4.0

I like the look of Bob Will as the drop back in trip could suit as could the ground. I wouldn't be piling in but he offers more value than King's Apollo!!

P.S. If you want a chuckle have a look at the Timeform In Play Hints on the Betfair site!

Timeform Inplay Hints
Kings Apollo traded at a low of 6.80 and BSP of 6.83 when unseated rider last time, a race in which it raced in mid-field.

Sounds great until you realise his demise was at the FIRST!!

I laid this horse from 2.50-2.60 out to 3.0 and I have now stepped off with a very healthy profit and no risk.

I have nice green running on Bob Will which would return more profit!

EDIT: Profit but Bob Will was disappointing
