I think that's probably same as the panorama programme peterle posted. Was worth a watch
The article says:
'The trainers who are responsible for looking after the dogs make a loss each year of £3m.'
I don't see how that's sustainable, unless big corporations and billionaires keep the sport afloat, just so they can see their dogs racing in some half-empty, far flung track, with the possibility of earning £40 in prize money.

Id imagine it has something to do with taxes and expenses for running their training business. At the same time they are probably drugging the dogs to win 150K gambling?

I use to do a milk round back in the day for a bloke who had a few dogs. He use to feed them pie, chips and peas before certain races and then none before other races.
Greyhound racing fixed?? Never!
In the 80's myself and six mates were going to town (Bolton) for a Saturday night out..
one of the lads Dave was the son of a bookies runner who was present at the track that night..
on the last race of the night, it was a photo finish..and you could bet on the result. Whilst we were waiting for the result, Dave's dad shouted him over in a panic and gave him a wad of cash and said "Take that down the line (Lay it off to other bookies) and get on number six"..we all did the same and put everything We had in our pockets on it..
it transpired that Dave's dad had recognised the Judge who placed a bet with him on the photo finish!
happy days, we lived like kings that night and splased the cash!
