Crown Resorts purchases 100% of Betfair Australasia.
I’m delighted to announce that Betfair Australasia is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Crown Resorts Limited following the purchase of a further 50% of Betfair Australasia from Betfair Group Plc.
You will continue to have full access to the global Betfair betting exchange and the change of ownership will have no impact on your betting experience. All Australian markets will still be managed out of our office in Hobart, as will our helpdesk and telephone betting service.
Many customers are already enjoying the Bookmaker mode products alongside the exchange on the new www.betfair.com.au and in the coming months you will notice a program of continual enhancement as we further invest in our products and services.
This is an exciting time for the business and we look forward to continuing to improve your unique and rewarding betting experience at Betfair.

That confused me as well Peter I wonder if Crown will be allowed to make significant changes to the exchange, possibly, and I'm being very optimistic here, scrapping the Premium Charge.Euler wrote:going to keep all non AUS revenue on the AUS markets out of AUS. Confused.

Crown (Betfair Australia) bought 66% of BetEasy and as they have been so slow at implementing the Bookmaker function on Betfair, I guess this is a way of doing that. Therefore they will be marketing the BetEasy brand as well as being a cheaper option as BetEasy will be looking after the Sportsbook side of the business.
