Froze again today. I reckon we should all say "no more money goes towards Premium Charge until you fix the issue".

I can just imagine everyone in Betfair HQ running frantically to solve it

Anyone else caught out when Betfair did not turn Canberra R7 In Play?
What usually happens in these situations?
The race was expected to jump 10min late but went a couple of minutes earlier and Sky telecast picked it up part way through but with plenty to run. Market appeared to be suspended when the telecast picked up.
Local help desk who had already received other calls said they've sent an email.
Close to game over for me if not voided.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it won't be voided.

It's a relatively common occurrence in British racing for Betfair to fail to turn the race in running; often through human error.

And I've never known them to void the race in those circumstances.

Their view is that, even though you may have intended to trade, you have still made a bet which has to be honoured.

And I guess if you were a punter who'd backed the winner, you would be pretty brassed off if you were denied your winnings.

What do other traders do, always trade out prior to advertised jump time or risk potential loss of 20 to 100 times expected profit/loss?
Betfair should not void all bets but reimburse loss incurred by those whose trading behaviour can be verified on occasions when that loss is due to Betfair not providing an advertised In Play market.

Think you've just been extremely unlucky. It's very rare for Australian races to jump early - in fact I don't think I can remember a single one in my limited experience of Aussie racing markets - and this probably only happened because it was already delayed.

Betfair should still have put it up in running, but it's dangerous to rely on in running trades to get you out of trouble.

So it's probably safest to avoid delayed races if you want to be as safe as possible. There are plenty of other trades available!

Sorry to make you feel worse Wildly but SkyRacingWorld were showing just Canberra yesterday so some people (Betfair) got full coverage of the delay and the race.

Just one of those things I suppose.

Further investigation confirmed by Betfair that they suspended the race just 5 seconds after the actual jump. Plenty of time for them to turn In Play in a 1000m race.

Glad I was a little bit cautious on R3 GCst. They were fully loaded in the stalls 1 min out and raced 30 seconds before the official off.

How much has it been put back? Can't seem to find much information on it?
