Hi,

1.
I've recently started using BA and I'd like to feel more confident using the Automation feature by understanding the various terms in setting up the Rules.
However I can't seem to find any supporting material or explanation for the Parameter settings or the Condition settings.
E.g. What, for instance is the 2nd Best Price in settings? When I've used it I get strange results. Also, in the trading video for Horse Racing Scalping there is some mention of the Unmatched Time Condition, what does it do and why use it?

Can you point me to the supporting material to fully explain automation.

2.
When analysing the simple Horse Racing Scalping automation feature, demonstrated in the video area, I thought it might be useful to use it to back and lay multiple selections. When I tried to do this by copying rules to run concurrently I noticed that unless all rules were successful, i.e. I back and laid every horse required by the set of rules, the rules wouldn't refire.
e.g. I've backed and laid the Favourite, but only backed the 2nd Fav and until the lay bet is matched the tool will not submit another Back bet on the favourite.
Is there a solution to this problem in Guardian?

All help would be much appreciated.

Hi

In your first question the 2nd best price is often used when you want to get matched rather than queue. I use it for some in running stuff where the market starts to move quickly.

Unmatched time is another I use when looking to fire another order into the market. What I don't want is double bets! In the video you mention the rule is set at 5 seconds for the rule trigger but the Unmatched Bet Time is used to tell the software to wait 2 seconds since the last unmatched bet.

In the second part you would need to look at the number of times you have instructed the rule to trigger as this could be your issue or it could be a supplementary parameter you have included. Without seeing your rule it is hard to give a definitive explanation.

Thanks Jolly. That pretty much confirms my doubts! :)
