Hi, newbie here so go easy.
Have set up an automated bet in guardian. Worked well for a few matches, now can't get it to place bet at trigger.
Aim is to place simple back bet at certain odds. So selected fixed odds, fixed stake, favourites line, correct in play times etc. can't work out why BA is not communicating with guardian?
Have saved market, added automation rule, deleted bet confirmation in setting, argh.
Thanks in advance

Sorry I can't help you Neddy. I am looking here for exactly the same reason. I don't find this forum very helpful. I have posted a few questions now and don't seem to get any answers. Seems the people in the know like to keep us in the dark.

Neddy if the bet isn't being placed then maybe your odds are too high so you're not being matched. You could try changing your automation to place the bet at Best Market Price, and include the condition that the price is greater than X.

So if you wanted to back something previously at 5.0 but the market was down around 3.95 it wouldn't get matched.

If your absolute lowest limit is 3.45 then your bet will be placed there but filled from the higher odds at 3.95 down to your limit if the liquidity is there.

As a trial, you could try your automation (in practice mode of course!)
Find an odds on fav, in one event and an odds against fav in another. Football could be a good market to try if they kick off at the same time. Set your automation to back at "Best market price" with the condition that the selections odds are >2. If you have everything else sorted out ok then 1 should be matched as it's under 2, the other unmatched as it's over 2.

Had a look for an example and there's 2 games side by side on the bf market with 1.30pm GMT kick offs today. West Ham vs Hull, and Utrecht vs Heerenveen.
West Ham are currently 1.78 and Utrecht are 2.64 in the win-draw-win market.
You could try automating with the place bet at Best Market Price, and the condition the fixed odds are >2.0 So the Utrecht bet should be matched as it's >2.0 and West Ham not matched as <2.0

If neither bets are matching, then you've probably something else wrong somewhere, delete your automation and go back to square 1 and start over, make sure you are absolutely certain about everything you're doing, why you're doing it, and what it will/should do. Have a good root around the Betangel videos on the youtube channel, there's a good few about automation that might help you out.

That's automation in a nutshell, 90% of automation is debugging. You just have to go back to basics and build it up until you trap the error. Because others can't see what you are trying to do or your exact set up, it's really hard to offer practical advice. So stripping things back to basics and building it up are the way to do it.

I have tried to lay the field for the last three racing days. I only have those markets in Guardian, I have followed exactly the video by Peter on how to set up lay the field and it still won't work. I am baffled, frustrated that I cannot get any rules to work except a greyhound rule and getting pissed off with automation.

Peter, if you are reading this, please do a few more videos with the up to date software and show not only the rules themselves, but exactly how automation should work and a few examples of why it doesn't work due to input errors.
