Hi everyone,

Due to an accident at work i have a few weeks at home. I have for some time been looking for a change of career.
It took me 4 years to qualify as an electrician and am still learning now, so i know it is not going to be easy to match that income with no or few skills or qualification in other areas. But 50 this year, the physical demands of the job, low rates, a industry that is saturated by unqualified, inexperienced cheap labour,The rising costs of travel and tools and the regular time off between contracts have made it all but impossible to maintain a regular income

As most electricians will tell you, in electrical work there is alot of maths, formula, and calculations. so my maths is strong. My strengths have been fault finding which requires a logical approach. Until i thought about this my perception of myself was just as a screwdriver for hire.

I have used betfair before and understand back and lay.

I have been using bet angle for 3 weeks.
week 1 all practice,
week 2,I ve got it now lets try some £2 bets,
week 2.5 lost £30, back to practice mode.NO HORSES
week 3 110% profit, no losing days(15 matches,5%-10% stake,50% of pot stake per match)

I am Trading on football. After some reading and video watching I have developed a strategy around laying the draw.I have noticed this works on some matches better than others and can identify the circumstances were this strategy has the best chance to be profitable.

My reasons for posting are i have been reading posts on this any other forums and they make me very nervous. I would like to trade full time and never ever go in to a fibre glass filled loft space looking for a cable the squirels have chewed through but i do not want to have to loose my pot to do so.It seems to be the consensus that i need to do this or will do this. Surely this cant be true i never electrocuted anyone, or myself whist learning to be an electrician.
I am aiming for fewer games, more research and bigger profits and continue to enhance my strategies.

This appears to be a quite solitary way to make a living, which suits me as i am at home can walk the dogs in day light every day (very important to me). but the disadvantage is I know no-one else who does this for a living or even understands what it is.

I would be grateful for the responses to the questibns below.

1. Have i just been lucky or am on my way?
2. is it essntial that i loose my pot?
3. what is a good profit on a football as a % of total amount staked.?

Thanks

Russell

For #1, I think you might have been lucky here but try to check where you got one.
