Hello all,

At the moment I trade while at work (own a carpet shop)
I have 1 monitor and just go from race to race using guardian.

I will skip a race if it has several horses under 10s or if it is a 4 runner race with a 1.3 fav but other than that I'll probably enter a trade.

My question is should I have oddschecker up to check the bookies prices or just go on what I see in Betangel?

I am embarrassed to admit I don't know what comes first, whether betfair follows the bookies or the bookies follow betfair. I guess the answer to this question will give me the answer about oddschecker.

If bookies prices come first then I would have thought I should have it on the screen but would appreciate it if someone could confirm this is how it works.

Thanks.

I think if you spend your time looking at odds checker you will miss what's going on in the market.

Odds checker has a delay so it won't reflect the actual current price.

In saying that I think odds checker can make a good visual for price movement rather than price.

I'm not sure, however I think the bookies are the ones to watch when there is low liquidity in morning markets. Ps I would like to hear the thoughts of other people on this matter?

Now this got me confused. I mean, is using the Oddschecker really worth the time spending on?

it depends on time frame you're trading. If you take long positions than you have plenty of time checking oddschecker. If you scalp 5min before the off then probably it's not worth it.
