Begginer question
Hi, ive recently started to trade on betfair. My first method its the lay the draw one, but im having some problems. I know how to pick the games and make the greens, my problem is i dont know how to put the profit all in one side. For eg once the 1-0 is scored i know how to make the draw green and the other two options with 0 and i know how to even the profit for the 3 options but i dont know how to put it all on the home/away side with the draw and the other option on 0. English is not my first language so maybe this will be a bit confusing. What im trying is to create a free bet in one of the sides and i can only do it for the draw. Thanks for the help.
IMHO if you believe that the market is efficient you are better off staying even green across the three selections. This is because if you move to a position where you only have a positive result on one selection while theoretically over the very long term (if markets are efficient) there should be no difference you will suffer frictional costs each time you lay to achieve your single outcome result. Those frictional costs (effectively the spread in prices) will impact your long-term returns.
i dont want to do that all the time. i just want to learn how to put the green all in 1 side. doesnt matter if its the team who scored or the one whos losing. i wont do that all the time, just sometimes if i think its possible a comeback and i want to gamble a bit. do u know how i can do that? im able to evne the profit trough the 3 options but then i cant put 2 of them at 0 and my choice to win the game with the profit.gazuty wrote:IMHO if you believe that the market is efficient you are better off staying even green across the three selections. Several ways to do this.bellini13 wrote:

One way. Go to the manual bet tab. If you are green on the draw lay it off until it is moved to the position you want. You will also need to lay off on the other unfavoured result as the green builds on your other unfavoured result.
