Unsolicited texts - You have ££££s waiting to be collected..

This is an ironic post (things that annoy me in the Chill Out forum...)

After months of not getting any of these texts, I've just had 3 in a row.

Now, my question is - why do so many people get disproportionately annoyed at this sort of SPAM text? I don't get wound up about leaflets dropping through the letter box, so why do these sort of texts annoy me so much that I fantasise about electronically hunting down the miscreants behind this? If it was just me, then I'd put it down to the fact that I'm the man that puts the M in miserable. But it's not just me - everyone seems to get really wound up about this.

So - why the difference? Flyers in the post are ok, but texts on the phone drive us crazy?
