Defining firmers and drifters

Can someone point me in the right direction please, on how to go about writing an automation rule to Lay a 1st favourite that's a firmer or conversely a drifter.

This would be determined by the favourite's Back price being >10% less or more than it's price 5 mins previously.

The only hiccup I can see would be a late scratching making it a firmer artificially?
