Before i read through 44 pages can anyone please confirm if this thread is good for a newbie to learn about trading Australian horse racing pre race?
I'd like to get a better understanding of the whole scene over there, when to trade etc. From what little i've read so far it seems different from UK horses and some days are better than others.
If this thread is not the place can anyone direct me to an up to date blog post that explains things? Thanks.

I think you will learn a lot more by actually trading it (practice mode) than reading 44 pages which probably doesn't even mention Aussie racing specifically. I've traded both UK and Aus and the only major difference IMO is the liquidity, but in saying that you can still get big amounts matched.
Cheers mate, nothing wrong with a bit of trotspoipoi wrote:Bloody good mate! Even having a crack at the trots!
And as I mentioned about a month ago, I got banned in regards to trading turnover charge meetings (NSW), since then I have increased my profits 25%. Strange how that has happened
How is your trading going mate?

Were they big meetings today naffman? I noticed a few races that I traded, had about 170+k matched. It seemed high for a Wednesday on ausy racing?
Launceston had their Cup day this afternoon, whereas they would usually race on the night during an average meeting. I think there was 300k+ on at least 2 of those races so it traded very well; and Sandown generally gets decent liquidity and averaged in the high 100K.
