Hello all,

As you'll see in the video bellow the big stakes pop-up in front of my position almost every time I'm about to get matched - of course, the price than moves away from me and I must close for a loss.

I must say that I'm experiencing this popping up this week, because before that, the markets were different and "easier" to trade.

Must I just close the trade and get another one in, am I doing something wrong or how are you dealing with this issue?

Here's the video http://youtu.be/Sx9zZYWDec4

Many thanks for your help,

Andrej.

unfortunately, its what is known as the market. By the market, i mean, whereby BF or their market makers can just stick up money and match it at "speeds" to suit, to leave people exposed in the short term, long enough to sell off their risk. You just have to handle your position around it. Some markets outside of racing, it is very easy i find and can put them under pressure easier than horses that appears to have every man and their dog gambling on horses    .

Are those bots or actual punters / traders? :)

How does everyone else deal with this?

You can never really tell when a slug of money is going to hit the market. It could be anybody doing anything, but over the long term it all averages out.

If you see sudden price spikes , sudden moves or sudden lumps of money, it's best *not* to stop-out - resist the temptation to follow the money - the move should be disregarded. Only *gradual* *consistent* *steady* moves over a long period of time (many minutes) definitely constitute genuine money. Anything else is suspect.

Remember, it's the *slow and steady* price changes that represent the real money. Sudden dramatic price spikes can't be trusted at all.

Well, most of the time I wait for the market to come back - and it does, but sometimes it doesn't (of course).

I have noticed the following :
If it does come back it's usually aprox. 8 to 3 minutes out and after that it usually doesn't.

Are there any other simptoms that I should look for to tell me that it will or won't come back?

Thanks a lot for helping out a newbie :)
