What a nightmare that was. Couldn't place any bets through the API.

Luckily got out on the site just before the off.

It's a bad joke.

Bets are being placed but there is no retrieval of bets by the API. No figure in that responsiveness field ???

My bets appeared on the ladder but couldn't get matched. Money was being taken below my price?

The bets are going into the market and appear on the ladder but you aren't able to cancel or hedge via BetAngel, whereas on the site you can. Liquidity has well dropped off lol.

Well that cost me a few dollars!!! Surely between BetAngel and Betfair you could get a few things right for a change. I have been with BA since Jan 2008 and I have never seen it perform so poorly. Lay bets placed just didn't show up on the ladder. Then after I managed to get one lay bet taken I couldn't close the trade on the back side because although my back amount was showing the ladder didn't seem to read it - amounts were traded above and below my greening back bet as though it didn't exist.
Clients of both BA and BF should be able to trade with absolute trust in the api's working correctly. Every new iteration of BA appears to be worse than the previous - and I accept that the performance by BF hasn't assisted, but perhaps more thought and planning should be devoted to ensuring client satisfaction.

I think all the trading platforms are being affected not just BA. It seems to be Betfair's problem but I think we are all so fed up of it.

Naffers, I agree that BF's perfomance has been poor; but is what I described a result of that or an error in the new version of BA? In the last version I had difficulty cancelling a bet (lay or back) and welcomed the new version as I had expected that the problems in v 1.38 might have been sorted out. Is it possible to install v 1.37?

cheers

Only God knows what is going on

API seems to be back now though.

Thanks Naffers,

And as I don't believe in God that leaves a fairly large void in the knowledge bank!!

Perhaps there should be less concentration on "features" such as live tennis scores (which appear to be an indulgence) until traders are able to use BA - and BF - with confidence.

Wow. I just had a $285 green appear in my PL for the last at Warwick Farm.

Betangel was showing -$30!

That could have been ugly.

I'll take it.

It doesn't exactly fill you with confidence though.

Just sent off another email of discontent.

If's definitely not a Bet Angel issue and firmly in Betfair's camp. I spoke to other vendors this morning all of which had issues overnight.

So I'd complain voraciously to Betfair. I've complained constantly to them about the performance of the Aussie API but perhaps they need to see more of it from users to jerk themselves into resolving it.

You may want to email the BDP team direct on [email protected] to report the issues you saw
