Was it just me or did any else experience the Betfair engine freeze up a couple of minutes before the off and during the racing?
The market was trading OK on my PC from 30 minutes to the last few minutes before the off. It then kept freezing up and then moved and froze up again. It was impossible to trade until the race was just about over.
interested to know if this was just my PC or if it was a Betfair issue. thanks

Well I also experienced a few issues and had a real sphincter moment because I had a large liability and it seemed to stand still....for far too long to make it comfortable 
Thanks for the response JollyGreen. I too was in for about 60% of my bank! My intention was to be out before the off - noticed the market was steaming and I thought in and out. I was caught and within seconds my liability was huge. There seemed to be large volume (market went from 10k to over a million traded) and a massive steam!
It was only down to luck that the market went my way near the end of the race and my order which took ages to be placed was filled otherwise i would have lost heavily.
I am concerned if Betfair is unable to deal with such things. I used to spread bet the same thing happened there too - any time there was large volume / news events which make markets move the platform always froze and was taken off line - you could not get in or out and if you were in you were stuffed.
It seems like these systems are not fit for purpose - it is the toss of a coin if you happen to be unfortunate enough to be caught out by such events.
I literally only started trading again - this is not for the faint hearted.
