I live in Newmrket and want to experiment with laying live. However i need someone on BA to lay the bets that i phone through; I believe this gives a 5 sec or so advantage. Any takers for a team effort?!

The problem is there might be another 100 people doing the same, so the advantage isn't what you would think.

Betfair provides streams with 2-3 seconds delay usually and there are some expensive services which can provide with 1s delay, and you know that delay for inplay bet is 1s, so you won't have much advantage anyway.

You are better off checking Betfairs prices against on course bookies. However if you want to try it, im up for it.

i think peter touched on it in one his posts on tennis , people are that far ahead of the game that the price will locking in money depending on what height the ball will bounce rather than the actual outcome.

Thanks for replies guys..looks like I've missed boat - horse/stable door :) Jasonc-let me think about it.
Disco: do you mean the delay on grid/ladder of IR figures are only 1 sec? No..i didn't know that actually...?

Tried this at York last year with a partner on the phone. There is no advantage to be had. So that ship has sunk.

When I went to Laytown last September they were backing to 1.01 up to three furlongs out. The max distance was 7f so it all seemed a bit crazy to me.
