You may recall I posted about my each way ante-post bet on Menorah in the Supreme Novices hurdle at Cheltenham and how I was worried he had been pushed too hard on his previous race. Well he runs tomorrow in the 14:00 and I think he will be hard pressed to win this. Escortmen looks very smart to me and his speed figure on his last run is mind boggling. If you watch the race he was pulling Ruby Walsh' arms out for most of the race and he was a runaway winner.

There has only been one winner of the Supreme Novices who has gone on to win this race so the stats are also in our favour.

You can get 3.90 3.95 on Betfair and I cannot think it will start any bigger tomorrow. In fact I would expect it to be shorter. I can see 3.50 as the main price and probably down to 3.25. If you take an early position I would be very surprised to see the price move above 4.00 - I for one will be more than happy to take an interest above 4.00 and have taken some 3.90 and 3.95.

You can all shoot me if it drifts - please don't let it drift :D

Heard somebody the other day call Aintree 'Royal Ascot for slappers'. Pissed myself laughing!

No problem. I notice the price has drifted out to 4.30 (13:43) but I'd expect it to settle back around the 4.00 mark. The drift on Menorah has taken up the slack in the book which meant that Escortmen has not shortened as I had hoped. No great loss though and as I always say "nothing ventured, nothing gained!"

I REMEMBER the gold cup you tipped a horse at 10/1 which won...but the price never gone down for some reasons...it is happening the same today at 14:00 aintree... escortmen is going to hit 6/1....wow...I will stick with escortmen just for the fun of it..good luck..

I have managed to lay 100 on 1.2 on the favorite...I am not sure cos in Italy we can t watch the race but i think the horse lost...pheewwwwwww.........better come back on football..... :lol: :lol:

Well you can't always be correct. I managed to save myself with Menorah losing and I caught the nice drift on that one!

It seems Escortmen is very headstrong and needs to settle in his race. Just put this one in your notebook as one for the future. He may be better in larger fields where he can be buried in the pack

you were spot on anyway..i think menorah did not win...I backed escortmen, mcoy and the horse that won in runnig and lay 1.2 menorah....so i won... :lol:
