Guardian only working when "next market" is open

I have a vps running and am trying to automate my trading. My bets only seem to be triggering if I have the race open on the main page. If its not open nothing happens at all. Why would this be?

click on guardian > Advanced Settings

Have you got restrict refresh ticked?
If so, either untiock it or expand the from/to time scales..

I have checked and its not ticked.. but when I got home guardian had kicked in on some markets with some poor results. Perhaps there is some fine tuning needed as only some of the bets were triggered when guardian did kick in.
It did seem that the right ones worked when the race was open but not when it was closed.
Could there be another explanation?

I have had a further look at what is happening. When I look at the odds section in guardian they are updating very slowly and it is only when I open the race on the main page do they refresh properly. It seems guardian is taking prices from the slowly updated prices and therefore nothing is getting triggered. Why would be it be refreshing so slowly when the main page isn't open?

The main page refreshes at the market rate, Guardian refreshes at it's own rate than you set. You can get Guardian to switch the market to local if you wish.

How do I do that? On the guardian page there is a "refresh interval" option on the markets tab of guardian. Even if I put that on 200milliseconds the guardian odds don't start updating properly until I open the main race page. Is that the place to change it to local or is it somewhere else?

What markets are you working in and how many do you have in Guardian?

Just the days racing. I am a very basic user, I now have the basic vps operating.

Use 'auto switch to next market' in Guardian and then Bet Angel will automatically bring into focus the very next race at full speed.

I now have a different issue... if a market is running late or another race is due to start shortly before the other one finishes guardian switches markets and the previous race doesnt function properly. How do the experts get around that?

Neil,

Guardian has a tick box top right 'Automatically switch BA market' I guess u have that ticked. If you untick it the market will remain..then of course u have to change markets manually.
