I only use BA for recording to excel and it's the best at that. I don't trade, only place a straight Lay bet to liability via Betfair's page. I'm not sure if you can even place a SP Lay liability bet with BA, probably can (just too many complex screen options leaves me bamboozeled). As I watch each race live, if I see the likelihood of my selection winning, it would be handy to "red/green/whatever? up" in play with one click to reduce my losses.

Can someone tell me if this is possible, which screen to use and button to press, to facilitate the "risk spread".
Cheers.

Thanks Peter. Yes I did fumble my way through this today, I think? The manual leaves me wanting in a lot of areas. I've often commented to software developers that they should never write their own manuals! Better to get a school kid off the street and say, "Here write a manual". I've attached a Word doc of how I've got round this for others to view. (In Practice Mode)

Screenshot1/:It's a Kilmore gallops race today (AUS). I wanted to Lay Ruperton for a $1000SP, but settled for a stake of $50 as I still don't know how to nominate a liability limit in lieu of stake. I went to 'Manual Bet'. As it's an SP Lay bet, I adjusted 'Manual Odds' to 1.01, changed the Lay stake to $50, clicked on 'Lay' to right of 'Manual odds'. An unmatched Lay bet appeared below. I clicked 'Take SP All'.

Screenshot 2/: Once 'InPlay', Ruperton shows a -$0.50
loss, all others $0.22 in profit. I tend to think BA has only worked this on a $5 stake? (not sure if this is right? Please feel free to comment). Ruperton went straight to the lead, but was caught up by two other horses and looked like being overtaken. I still decided to take my profit/loss by clicking one of the square buttons under 'Trade profit'. The bot places a Back bet into the market which never got matched. Ruperton ended up kicking away and won, resulting in a $50 theoretical loss. Ouch!!

I think this Practice mode isn't realistic for training purposes somehow? Left with the feeling that none of this 'Greening' up stuff really works? Go back to old ways. Happy for some pointers.

My attachment's got lost in cyber space, I'll try again..............Mmhhh, that didn't work either. Another bit missing from the manual? Forget it!! No wonder there's so many missing files on this site. People refer to them, others ask where are they, but never get a reply.
