Excel or not

Can anyone please tell me if it is worth investing in Excel software for analysing the Betfair data?

You'll need to be ok with Excel to be able to extract the data to your requirements. If you need the info on a daily basis, this is a good place to start:

but if you need the last 10mins trading data then you'll need a datacapture spreadsheet to do the job.

Either way, as mentioned, you'll need to learn about Excel, and it's up to you how much time you want to spend on it.

I'd find it difficult to have done half the things I had without analysing anything, so it makes sense to me to use all tools available.
