After reading the recent "Candlestick" post Just though i would suggest another possible addition to the next BA upgrade that i know would help me just wondering if anyone else would find it useful and like to see it added, i did nt want to hijack the "Candlestick" thread already going so thought i would just start this new thread off for this.

Basically i would like to see a cross between the option to fire the bet manually but with conditions from the automation rather than the automation firing the bet for me, this may sound like it defeats the object of automation as granted having it place the bet when conditions are met it is always going to be quicker and there is not even a requirement to be at a PC but i think there are many benefits to having the option to fire it manually and there is any amount of situations where being the one who fires the bet would be more beneficial ill see if i can try and explain with a very simple example.

Lets say you have a automation rule that will fires a back bet on the favorite when the following conditions are met Fav LTP under 2.60 with over 75% WOM on its back side and 2nd Fav LTP Over 3.50. Once all these are met the automation as it is today fires the bet for you. but what if all these conditions are be in place but there may be other niggley things going on at that precise moment that can t be put in as a automation condition especially if its something on course actions, pundit speaking etc or despite the conditions being right you just feel something is not quiet right and you may want to hold off actually having the bet fire just a few seconds more to see what develops.

My Idea would be still having your automation rules in the background but you will have the option to choose when to fire the bets manually so even if you can click the mouse multiple times if any of your conditions are not met then no bet will be placed, this will also eliminate having to constantly scan all over your screen or screens to make sure all your conditions are in place you will have the comfort of knowing the bet will only fire with those core conditions met and your happy nothing else is currently happening anywhere. so even for the above simple condition you wont need to keep checking the price of two runners looking for the weight of money on one of them and if the rule was even more complex like the 2nd fav must of drifted in price at least 6 ticks in last 30 seconds 3rd fav cant of come in in price more than 3 ticks in last 60 secs etc having even more things to try and process in your head.

I have no computer programming skills so don't know how easy or cost effective it would be to bring such a feature in but i think it could be done by adding a tick box on the "Automation Rules Editor" general tab where if ticked the automation rules you create still need to be fired manually, un ticked (default) would mean automation works fully auto exactly as it does now.
Hope all that makes sense if anyone needs any clarification please let me know as well as if anyone thinks this may be a useful addition and feature to them in the next BA upgrade.

Yes.. i agree..having a manuel option so you can choose the price if at your pc would be a major benefit!

You can activate a rule by selecting or not selecting it in Guardian. So it's already possible to switch it on or off.

Hi euler thank you for your reply could you tell me exactly where and how to do it if it already exsists in guardian, i know how to create a rule and apply to selected markets etc to place fully automation bets but just in case you mis read my original suggestion it was to be able to apply a set of rule conditions but that would allow you to still place a bet manually but only if your choosen rule conditions running in back ground in guardian where met at the moment you clicked the mouse.

In effect giving you the advantage of allowing you to place bets manually but only if your selected rule conditions for that market are met rather guardian palcing them for you as soon as there met.

Many thanks

So it would be like a popup?

Something like

Code: Select all

I like the idea, and it would also be useful for testing.
