Perhaps I am just not cut out for this but.......how hard could the following request be of Bet Angel ?

1. I have a pre determined horse I want to back
2. I only want to back it if it is the favourite
3. I then want to back it SP

Is this at all possible ?

Thanks in advance.

The problem with this is Bet Angel cannot know your selection until you tell it. Then you need to determine if it is the favourite and if yes, back it at SP. I am sure you can use an Excel sheet to do this.

Manually it is simple, find your horse, check if it is favourite, if yes, back at a price above the current market level so the bet is queued. Change the status of the bet to Take SP.

That will do it.

Hi JollyG,

I thought it would be that simple but I cannot seem to get the options to match the logic. Works ok when selection is favourite but when selection is not favourite and bet should be rejected it places bet.

I have attached the automation file I am using and wondering if you could have a look and see if something is obviously wrong. Seems to me the "Conditions" which are supposed to be "True" to trigger the rule are not right ?

Appreciate in advance if you can help further.

Hi

You need to set a time for the Take SP bet. It currently has no parameter so will not know when to trigger.

Also ensure you select the horse by market order sorted in order of favouritism

Hi

This made the grey matter move and I knew there is a way to ensure it is the favourite. The screenshot shows how to do it but you can adjust the number of ticks to suit your requirements. This way the horse has to be lower in price than the 2nd fav so it must be the favourite.

Nice work Jolly Green..... I like your capability at thinking outside the box.
I had sorted this issue out using Excel but this is much neater than having the Excel dependency so have switched over to it.

Really do appreciate you so freely giving your time to solve this for me.
